Alba was founded in 1995. The 100-year old building in St Michael’s Street, Dumfries is now home to a contemporary suite of offices, studios and a high-tech print operation.
Print remains a core part of the business, but with a strong Design Team, Alba also provides creative and digital solutions for its clients.

At our site in Dumfries we offer a one-stop design, print and sign display service, from one-off projects to complete marketing and sales campaigns, we can do it all!
With a dedicated management team, a highly experienced team of graphic designers and a professionally trained print production team, we pride ourselves in delivering quality products and outstanding customer service.
Kevin Laurie (right), Print Production Manager, joined the company in 1995. Kevin is a member of our Management Team and received his 25 year service award in 2020.
Moira Steed, General Manager, is also a longstanding member of our Management Team and has worked with us for 23 years.
Russell Milligan, our Design Studio Manager, joined us more recently in 2019. Russell is an experienced graphic designer and heads up our design team.
Alba also has a loyal and experienced team of employees, many of them being with the company for 10+ years.
Nurturing young talent is also important to Alba. We run a highly successful apprenticeship scheme and offer work experience through the local college and schools.
We are extremely proud of our current Apprentice, Russell Williamson, who won the Print Scotland ‘Scottish Print Apprentice of the Year’ Award in 2020. Well done Russell!
Wherever possible, we support local business in a range of sponsorship activities and have established firm roots in the community.
