Alba has been providing design, print, and signage services since 1995. Based in Dumfries, we work with clients across the UK, combining creative thinking with reliable production.
In October 2024, Moira Steed (right) became the owner of Alba after more than 25 years with the business. Her focus is on keeping the same high standards and personal service our clients have always relied on, while continuing to invest in our team, equipment, and services.
From our fully equipped studio and print facility, we manage projects of all sizes—from single items to full campaigns—delivering work that looks professional and arrives on time.
We’re a small, experienced team with decades of combined knowledge.

Many of our staff have been with us for over a decade, bringing consistency and care to every project. We also invest in new talent through apprenticeships, with our apprentice Russell Williamson winning Print Scotland Apprentice of the Year in 2020.
Wherever possible, we support local business in a range of sponsorship activities and have established firm roots in the community.
At Alba we adhere to best practice standards and are proud to up-hold ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System as well as membership of Print Scotland and Dumfries and Galloway Chamber of Commerce.
I have worked with Alba Printers for about 20 years, in all that time I have found them attentive, good with advice, fair with pricing, delivery on time and if anything should go wrong (very rarely) extremely quick in resolving issues. They are a local printer and I think important to support where possible the employment of persons in Dumfries and Galloway.
Over the years the availability of products and services has I believe helped them maintain their position as a company to ask first.
