If you don’t know the story of Moat Brae, JM Barrie lived in Dumfries and regularly visited Moat Brae. He said the gardens were enchanted lands to him and that they inspired him to write the play; Peter Pan in 1904.  After 10 years of fundraising to redesign and rescue the derelict building and grounds on George Street, Dumfries, The Peter Pan Moat Brae Trust opened Moat Brae as a visitor centre, garden and café, which has been described as the place to rediscover your childhood fantasies through the love of books and stories.  It is full of inspirational places for children and young people to explore, play and read.

From the early days of fundraising in 2009/10, through to dressing the finished building ready for the big launch in 2019, Alba have worked their magic to support the team at Moat Brae.

Our creative team have worked with colleagues to develop the branding for the opening of the National Centre for Children’s literature in Dumfries and as the business has evolved, have more recently supported the delivery of their re-brand project.

Alba have designed and printed interior and exterior signage as well as menus, leaflets and regular newsletter for the Peter Pan Moat Brae Trust.

It doesn’t take much imagination to see the results of our work with Moat Brae, which is now a well-loved visitor attraction enjoyed by locals and visitors to the South of Scotland.

It’s quite a story and we are pleased to have supported the Trust along the way.
